Year-Round
Direct Applications
Research labs in the Department of Electrical Engineering may have openings for post-docs, research assistants and interns at various points during the year (this is independent of the SURE internship program described below). There is no central application form for these positions — the most reliable way to find out whether an opportunity is available is to write directly to the faculty member whose research interests you. Send your request by email, attaching your CV and a copy of your latest academic documents.
Contact details for all faculty members are listed on the Faculty page, and the pages under the Research menu describe what each lab works on.
Project-funded openings are often advertised at the IIT Hyderabad Careers page.
Institute Programme
SURE Internships
SURE (Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure) is an annual summer research internship run by the Sponsored Research and Consultancy office at IIT Hyderabad. It gives students from outside IIT Hyderabad a period of hands-on research in an IIT Hyderabad lab, working under the supervision of a faculty mentor. Electrical Engineering hosts SURE interns across all four of its research streams.
Applications must be submitted to the institute through the central SURE portal.
