Contents
Digital sources and quantization. Waveform communication channels, low pass equivalent waveforms and baseband digital transmission. Vector spaces and signal space representation. Gaussian random process and channel noise. Digital modulation, demodulation, receiver architectures and performance analysis: BPSK, QAM, FSK. Capacity and fundamental limits of digital communication. Channel coding and decoding: convolutional codes and/or LDPC codes. Channel fading and wireless communication.
