MTech (RA): Quantum Error Correction

MSc in Math/Statistics or Physics, B.E./B.Tech./B.S. in EE/ECE/CSE or equivalent

At least one M.Tech. (Research Assistant) position is available with Lakshmi Prasad Natarajan in the quantum error correction research area in the Jan 2027 admission round. No prior background in quantum physics, coding theory or information theory is required.

The candidate must be willing to learn new math-oriented topics, must have an interest in pursuing theoretical research and must have basic programming acumen. To begin with, a good understanding of the basics of linear algebra and probability theory is expected. Student(s) will be provided a thorough introduction to the topic of research, and will be guided through regular discussions and interactions.
