Notice for internship applicants
The prevailing Covid-19 epidemic has caused significant disruption to our usual academic schedule, and hence the EE department has decided not to offer internships this summer. In case of any significant changes in the situation we will post an update on this page.

The faculty in electrical engineering department at IIT Hyderabad work in a broad range of research directions. Some details about the faculty research interests can be found here. The department offers summer internship program between May - July every year. The internship programs are typically for 8 weeks.
Important information for prospective applicants
| Eligibility | The candidates from EE, ECE and EI background, and who are currently in 3rd year of their program are eligible to apply. Exceptional candidates in the 2nd year of BTech program, and 4/5th year of reputed Integrated MSc programs are also eligible to apply. |

| Commencement of internship | Tentatively May 11th 2020. Selected candidates are expected to report at IITH on the reporting date with necessary documents. We may consider a delay of 2-3 days for exceptional reasons such as exams, if communicated well in advance. |
| Internship Duration | The selected candidates must stay till at least 8 weeks at IIT Hyderabad to receive a certificate. |
| Stipend | Some students may be offered a stipend depending of project funds available with respective faculty members. This will be communicated to you at the time of selection. If you are interested in self-supporting your internship please indicate so in the application. The typical cost of self-supporting yourself (meals and hostel accomodation) for 8 weeks is about Rs. 12000/-. |
